History of Ron-Cris Enterprises, Inc. (Cont. Page 2)

By this time, we were developing and promoting vocal groups and bands, the first of which was “The Debonairs,” (vocal) and “The Ampla Tones,” (band). Margaret did the vocal arranging and Tom Jermine was the piano player and band arranger. “This Must be Paradise” and “I Need You Darling,” were released on Elmont Records by “The Debonairs.” Even though Ron-Cris was not yet in existence, the groups were under contract with us.

Debonairs: Steve Rosen, Eddie Rappa, James LaBanca and Ronnie Catania .
Part Of The Ampla Tones: Mike Lombardi, Bill Miller and John Labanca-----Not pictured-----Tom Jermine, Steve Oxalido and Frank Cavalero

Shortly after the studio opened, a mutual friend introduced us to a young high school student named Mark Hubelbank. Margaret and I soon came to look on him as a part of our family and as it turns out, in my opinion, he was a boy genius. He designed numerous electronic circuits, plus the circuits for the tape reverb and the master record-cutter lathe we built. Margaret’s favorite line was, “If you don’t fix it, I’m going to call Mark.” Needless to say, Mark graduated from M.I.T. and now has his own company, designing electronic equipment for use in the medical field. He was just another one of the wonderful people who became a part of our lives.
